True Worship
By: Daniel Adams
John 4:23-24 (KJV) 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Have you ever wondered why the Lord is seeking people to worship Him? This was always a question of mine until the Holy Spirit showed me.
The Lord doesn’t need to be worshipped because He’s some kind of egomaniac who is trying to fill an insecurity. He is self-sufficient. He is infinite and eternal light and love and He knows that when we worship Him, it removes our ego from the equation and allows Him to fill us with His divine presence of light and love.
Ego and pride are the root cause of all sin, and worship is the remedy. Jesus is the spotless lamb who sits upon the throne and He is worthy of all glory, honor, praise, and worship because He alone paid the price for the sins of the world with His blood and saved us from eternal hell.
Confession: Father today I worship you in the spirit and truth. I worship you for who you are and all that you've done. You are worthy!
