Can These Bones Live?

Ezekiel 37:3 He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.”
In the above scripture we see that the Prophet Ezekiel is taken into a valley filled with dry bones - which represent death and hopelessness. The God asks the prophet an unusual and astounding question, "Can these bones live again?" The Lord then commands the prophet to prophesy to the dry bones, and as he speaks, something miraculous happens. The bones come together, flesh covers them, and the mighty breath of God revives them into a mighty army.
Sometimes as we go through life, we may find ourselves in a season of a valley of dry bones. What area of your life feels dry? I want to encourage you today that there's no situation too far gone for the Lord. The Word of God is alive and powerful to change your situation.
The word breath of God in the Hebrew is the word Ruach (רוּחַ) (pronounced "roo-akh") and it means breath, wind, and the Holy Spirit of God. It signifies God's creative, empowering, and sustaining presence, and is often associated with divine activity and life force.
All living beings owe the breath of life to the Creative Holy Spirit of God. Moses states this truth: “God . . . gives breath [ruach] to all living things” (Numbers 27:16). Job understood this truth as well: “As long as I have life within me, the breath [ruach] of God in my nostrils” (Job 27:3). Later, Elihu tells Job, “The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life” (Job 33:4)
God used the phrase Ruach Yahweh in His promise that the Messiah would be empowered by the Holy Spirit: “The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him—the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD” (Isaiah 11:2; see also Isaiah 42:1). This prophecy was fulfilled in Jesus Christ at His baptism in the Jordan River, John saw “the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him” (Matthew 3:16).
The Ruach of Yahweh is the same spiritual divine force of God that gave Adam life in the garden, it's the same wind that blew on the Day of Pentecost, and I believe that as you're reading this today that same mighty wind of the Holy Spirit is blowing with force in your life to bring fresh life and revive and restore those areas that have felt stagnant. The Holy Spirit is reviving hopes and dreams, and He's causing new life where there has been dry bones! Receive the fresh wind of the Holy Spirit in your life today!
Confession: I declare today that there is no situation that is too difficult for God. I prophesy LIFE into every dry and lifeless area of my life now. By faith, I see restoration, healing, joy, peace and prosperity coming to me! The breath of God fills me now, reviving my dreams, renewing my strength, and transforming every area of my life today! These dry bones shall live in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!
