Dominion
By: Daniel Adams
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. — Genesis 1:26
God made man in His own image and He gave him dominion over the earth. When we look at Jesus, we see this type of dominion displayed because Jesus never sinned.
When Jesus needed to feed the multitudes, He simply blessed a little boy's lunch and it multiplies so that there was more than enough for everyone to eat. When He needed to get to where He was going and a body of water stood between Him and His destination, He would just walk on top of the water. When He spoke to the storm, it immediately calmed down. When the sick and people missing body parts were brought to Him, they always left healed and whole. When He came into contact with the dead, they were brought back to life because He had absolute dominion over the grave. When someone was possessed by demons, He effortlessly cast them out with the finger of God.
The Bible tells us that Christ is in us and because of this, we have the same dominion over death, disease, and demons. God has designed that we as His children should rule and reign in life through the dominion of our new nature and the name of Jesus!
Confession: I have dominion over all the power of the enemy. I have all authority over death, disease, and demons. I am reigning in life through Christ that lives in me.
