Spiritual Vocabulary

When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths. — 1 Corinthians 2:13 NLT
The word vocabulary is defined as the body of words used in a particular language. As a child of God, what kind of vocabulary do you speak concerning your life and situation? The vocabulary of the world is the type that says things like ‘I don’t know what I’m going to do, I’m not good at anything, I always lose, sickness and disease run in my family and the list goes on and on. This is the type of vocabulary that people who don’t know God use. As a child of God, we should use the vocabulary of faith.
The Apostle Paul said we use words given to us by the Spirit. When you’re in conversation with someone, you should be using spiritual vocabulary! You have to understand that the vocabulary of the spirit is on a higher plane than the vocabulary used by people who live in darkness. The vocabulary of the world leads people down the path of darkness in the spirit world. If you’re having a hard time financially, you can speak with spiritual vocabulary, that will dethrone the darkness in the spirit world and remove demonic entities afflicting your bank account. Your words are the steering wheel of your life in the spiritual realm.
The Bible says that Jesus was mighty, not only in deed but in word also. The religious people of his day said, "we’ve never heard a man speak like this." His words were spirit and they were life. His words carried spiritual substance that brought about a transformation. The revelation of God's Word will illuminate your path in the spiritual realm. Without the Word of God, you’ll be walking in darkness. Get in the Word and meditate on verses that cover your situation and start speaking them over your life. Let the words of the Bible become your new spiritual vocabulary.
Confession: The Word of God is working mightily in me! I walk in the light as He is in the light. The Holy Spirit illuminates my mind and my path as I speak with spiritual vocabulary as a believer!
