Stir It Up
By: Daniel Adams
Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. — Timothy 1:6-7
The power of the Holy Spirit is inside of believers. If you need healing, that miracle working, healing power can quicken your mortal body and drive out sickness and disease today. You might ask the question, “how do I get this miracle-working power to manifest in my life?"
First Timothy 4:14 says, "Neglect not the gift that is in thee." Now, the word neglect in the original language means to ignore or to be careless. In essence, what it’s saying here is don't ignore the gift that's in you. Don’t be careless about what God has placed in you. He said, “neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands.” In 2 Timothy 1:6, Paul is still writing to Timothy; he says, “to stir up the gift, for God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind.” Don't be afraid to step out in faith and access what God has placed in you today!
The Holy Ghost is in you and He is the one who manifests God's healing power. There is no healing power on the earth that is apart from God. All healing comes from God. So it is necessary to stir up that anointing that’s in you. That's why we can't go to church and just shout all day. There is a time to shout, but there is also a time for teaching the Word of God as well. Holy Ghost revelation brings Holy Ghost manifestation. That way we will know what we're shouting about!
Confession: I make the decision today to stir up God’s miracle-working power that is on the inside of me through prayer and praise. I have the spirit of love, power, and a sound mind. In Jesus' name!
