The Blood of Jesus
By: Daniel Adams
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. — 1 John 1:9
The glorious power of the blood of Jesus has provided everything we need to live a life of victory!
As Christians, we talk about the blood, sing songs about the blood, and remember it during Communion. But do we truly grasp how powerful the blood of Jesus really is, and are we applying it in our lives every day?
Throughout the scriptures, we see a theme of the shedding of blood. The sacrifices of Abel, Noah, and Isaac, the Passover lamb, and the giving of the Law all came to pass, but “not without blood” (Hebrews 9:7). The blood symbolizes cleansing and purification—the settling of a matter.
The blood of Jesus is God's, liquid love! Because of the blood of Jesus that was shed for the remission of our sins we have eternal life now and in heaven, physical healing, prosperity, peace, and so much more! God's great love covers every need we will ever have, and every time we apply the blood, we experience an outpouring of this love. It's love, through the blood, that has created a barrier between you and all the works of the devil.
Confession: Because of the blood of Jesus, I have freedom in every area of my life today. Thank you Jesus for paying the price for my eternal redemption with your blood. Hallelujah!
