The Living Word
By: Daniel Adams
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. — 1 John 5:7
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. . . . And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us . . . . — John 1:1,14
So often in Christian circles, we like to say that Jesus is the Lord of our lives, but what does that really mean?
The Bible tells us that Jesus is the Living Word, the Word made flesh, and God has given us the written Word to unveil the Living Word to us.
When you give the Word of God (primarily the New Testament) first place in your life, you're putting Jesus first! In other words, when you govern your life according to the principles found in the Word, you are making Jesus Lord, because Jesus and the Word are one. Therefore we should read and meditate on the Word of God every day so that we can allow Jesus to be number one in our lives. et this Word be the Lord of your life.
We are living in a time when we need to be serious about the things of God, and we need to learn what the Bible has to say about how we are to conduct our lives.
Let the Word of God be your guide in life. When you do, you are making Jesus the Lord of your life will be filled with peace that passes understanding and your heart will overflow with the joy of the Holy Spirit.
Confession: Jesus and the Word are one. Jesus is the Word made flesh. Jesus is the Lord of my life because I allow the Word of God to dominate and govern my life! I walk in peace and victory because Jesus is Lord!
