The Lord Will Fight for You
By: Daniel Adams
. . . Be not afraid nor dismayed . . . for the battle is not yours, but God’s. — 2 Chronicles 20:15
In 1 John 4:4, the Bible tells us that "God lives in us" and he is "greater than he that is in the world." Jesus is greater than the devil. Seeing that God’s word says this, we must allow this revelation to become a part of who we are. When this truth illuminates your spirit, you will see the Greater One at work in your life.
If we try to win the battle by the arm of the flesh, then you’re out of position to allow God to fight your battles for you. It’s not our job to try to figure out how God is going to do it, it’s our job just to trust him and praise him until we see the victory. You can rest on the promises of God, knowing that God is fighting for you.
Confession: I refuse to fight my battle without the Lord’s help. The battle is not mine, but God’s. He is the Greater One, and He is in me. His word is true and he is fighting on my behalf. There is no battle that the Lord has not won. He has a perfect record and this will never change.
