The God Who Heals
By: Daniel Adams
I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee. — Exodus 15:26
The word ‘health’ is derived from the Hebrew word Rapha. In the Old Testament, one of the many names of God is Jehovah - Rapha, The Lord who heals, and the Lord who makes bitter things sweet. God is a healer and two thousand years ago, Jesus took stripes on his body so that we can experience His healing power today.
In the book of Genesis, the bible shows us that God formed man from the dirt of the ground. If God formed man, then who better to heal than the person who actually made your body? God personally designed and created your spirit, soul, and body. He doesn’t want His children to go through life with sickness and disease in their bodies. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and sickness and disease can not remain in His presence. Faith in God is the victory!
The way to appropriate the healing power in the Word of God is to find scriptures that pertain to your situation and meditate on them. Speak the Word over your life, tell your body it must line up with what God’s Word says! As you look into the mirror of God’s word, you’re being transformed from sickness to health, from lack to abundance! If you’re not sick, you don’t have to wait for sickness to knock on your door before you start speaking God’s word. It’s better to live in divine health than to have to believe to be healed. Speak God's Word and you shall surely experience results in Jesus' Name!
Confession: God is my healer. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit! Divine health is mine in Jesus' name!
