The Power of Faith
By: Daniel Adams
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. — Hebrews 11:1
If we are going to operate in faith then we have to understand what faith is. The Greek word for faith is the word Pistis, it means to be persuaded. Faith always has the element of assurance, certainty, and confidence. Hebrews 11:1 says, "faith is the substance of things hoped for." You could say that hope is the blueprint of faith. Without hope, faith has nothing to give substance to. With this understanding, we should have great hopes and dreams. Also, not only should we have great hopes and dreams, but we need to continually allow God to expand our vision through his Word.
There are no dreams too small because there are no limits with him. What are your God-inspired dreams? The Bible says to write the vision down and make it plain. I want to encourage you to take the time to write your God-inspired dreams down and keep them before you. Remember, your hopes and dreams are the blueprints of your future.
Before you ever build up, you first have to dig down. However strong the foundation is, is how high the structure will be able to be built. You may not be where God is taking you, but your hope is the blueprint and your faith is the evidence that will bring it to pass.
Confession: I make the choice today to live by faith in God's Word. Holy Spirit show me the blueprint for what you want me to do. I receive it now in Jesus' name! Amen.
