The Sword of the Spirit

And take the helmet of salvation, and he sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. —  Ephesians 6:17

Aren't you thankful that God has given us a weapon of attack to use against every work of the enemy? When the Bible talks about the whole armor of God, you will notice that all the armor mentioned, from the shield of faith to the breastplate of righteousness, are all defensive. However, we are given one offensive weapon, which is the sword of the spirit, the Word of God. We can use the Word of God to attack and change any situation, and it will work every single time.

The Greek word translated as ‘word’ in Ephesians 6:17 is the word "rhema". A Rhema word is a word that is given to a specific person, for a specific situation, at a specific time. When you're facing a challenging situation in life, the Holy Spirit within you will take the scriptures and illuminate them to your spirit which becomes a Rhema word for that situation.

Take that sword of the spirit today and decree your healing, your prosperity in the name of Jesus!

Confession: I am a child of God and I have authority in the name of Jesus. I choose today to take the sword of the spirit which is the word of God to slay every circumstance that the enemy brings!
