You Are Christ's Ambassador
By: Daniel Adams
Now we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.” — 2 Corinthians 5:20
The Bible says we are "ambassadors of Christ", which means our source is not from our natural environment, but from God. The definition of the word ambassador is an accredited diplomat sent by a country as its official representative to a foreign country. As born-again children of God, the earth is not our home. Our home is in heaven and we are just passing through. We are ambassadors for the Kingdom of God.
An important fact to realize is that an ambassador is taken care of and provided for by their home country, not the country they are serving in. If an ambassador is attacked by any country, it’s a declaration of war against the country they represent.
Any attack on your life is a declaration of war against the Kingdom of God. You’re not just a mere human going from circumstance to circumstance depending on where the wind blows. You’re an Embassy of the Kingdom of God, a certified resident of heaven and the Highest God. Whosoever stands in your way, will be dealt with by the government of the Kingdom of God and you shall not lack anything for your supply is directly from God himself.
Confession: I make the decision today that I will not live a merely human life, but I will live a life that is filled with the glory of God and as a representative of the Highest. I am a representative of Christ. He lives in me and I know His voice and hear clearly.
